Although I can't get the page to load, Drudge quotes John Kerry as follows on the Swift Boat Vets in '08: 'I'm prepared to kick their ass from one end of America to the other.'
Don't you hate it when you are running for president and someone makes a completely devastating attack that destroys your candidacy, and you think of the perfect reply, only now it's two years later?

Kerry may be mentally preparing to fight the Swift Boat Vets in '08, but why is he bothering ?
His chances of being the Dem nominee in '08 are exactly 0%. (Unless every other nationally-known Dem dies or is indicted before then).
Which is to say, Kerry was only seen as a viable Presidential candidate in comparison to Dean, Gephardt, and Lieberman, among others.
But he's been damaged since then, and his potential '08 rivals are a stronger bunch than the '04 group, which included the likes of Kucinich, Mosely-Braun, and Sharpton.
Kerry thinking of '08 is mere vanity.
