Well, except for color copiers.

I make sure to sign legal documents on a surface with some yield, like a few sheets of paper.

The pen leaves a distinct impression on the paper that a copy won't have.

Good idea, Skipper. After a few years in a stuffed file, though, the indentations tend to fade.

What about in a color copiers don't copy?

That's fine too. I once had a friend who signed everything in a rich, deep purple ink.

On the whole, though, signing in blue ink gives you the biggest bang for the buck. It's easy and deals with 99% of the problem.
