Well, it's not the most exciting organ. I doubt most people could place it or describe its function. But maybe part of the problem is that there are a few scientists and even more transhumanist geeks out there who would say these scientists are late to the parade. Perhaps we can look forward to one of those take-no-prisoners academic battles over what "from scratch" means.
